Preparation of cyclo- and oligopeptides

The PhD course is based on the previous lecture for MSc students (Synthesis of biologically active peptides). In frame of the lecture with the title of “Preparation of cyclo- and oligopeptides, synthetic procedures with examples will be presented for the development of cyclic peptides with disulfide bridge, amide-, thioether-, oxime bond, etc. in the cycle. In addition synthesis of large peptides will be discussed. For this purpose conjugation and ligation procedures will be overviewed including appropriate purification and characterization methods. The bioactivity of the prepared cyclic-, linear and branched oligo- and polipeptides will be also discussed.
